Sleep
We all know that sleep is essential, but a majority of the time, many of us fail to receive the appropriate amount of sleep needed to function properly. Like eating healthy and exercising, getting a good night's sleep is extremely valuable for our mental, physical, and emotional well-being. Every night when you go to sleep, or when you take a nap, your body enters a state that allows your body and mind to recharge, helping to leave you alert and refreshed when you wake up. Sleep also helps with the body's immune system, allowing you to stay healthy and fight off diseases. Without enough sleep, the brain will not function to its full potential which could lead to many medical issues and physiological problems.
The American Academy of Sleep Medicine and Sleep Research Society expresses that resting under 7 hours each night consistently can adversely affect a person's wellbeing. It was connected with increased body weight and a higher predominance of obesity, diabetes, hypertension, coronary illness, and stroke.
